Sharp x68000. A home computer not heard of outside Japan. The first model was released in 1987 with a CPU shared by the Amiga 500 and Atari ST at the time. The OS, Human86K was developed by Hudson Soft, the company behind Bomberman. Everything else though was far superior. The rest of the hardware was similar to Arcade machines at that time, which could explain why so many Arcade Ports were released. Arcade perfect too.

Final Fight and Super Street Fighter 2 were virtually arcade perfect and miles ahead of the other conversions at the time (Megadrive and SNES).

I have a friend who has recently purchased one of these forgotten gems and he has kindly taken some photos of some of the most popular and rarest games. Final Fight, Super Street Fighter 2 and Daimakaimura (Ghouls N’ Ghosts).

Enjoy!
